easy portage! on the south side I remember a handful of rocks that could bump a canoe.

We were able to walk the canoes through without serious issue. The old Tomahawk lumber company road crossed the river near here. A possible (water level dependent) cooling alternative on a hot day through a very scenic area.

This is a pretty area. We moved efficiently south and were on our way.

Skip portage by lining through rapids in July

Nothing major to report on this portage. The northern side is a little tight getting in the water and out into the pond. It is probably best to go one canoe at a time.
