This trail can become pretty challenging at the pickerel lake end as it traverses a ways thru marsh to get to the lake and it is often deep with water and heavy reeds and marsh grasses. on second visit i discovered someone has rerouted this portage at the end to avoid the marshy slog. go right to the little slip that gets you into the water more easily.
