If headed South it is easy enough to paddle through. Going North makes sure to take the portage. Very easy. 1/5

We paddled through with our Kevlar but did brush a rock towards the end of the small rapids. Water was down a bit this time of year.

We were traveling NE & needed to use portage. As said, it's pretty straight forward - a little elevation.

We thought about floating through, but the water wasn't quite high enough for comfort. Portage is not bad at all. There's a downed tree at the South end right at the water's edge. But otherwise. Easy, peasy!

If you are going south-west, you should be able to float through with no problems. There are a few rocks, but could be easily missed. Our three kevlar canoes went through and never touched a rock. If you are traveling upstream or north-east, you probably cannot get through without the portage. Too much water flowing.
