Wide open because of the burn down. Expect to be blown around a bit if you're carrying a canoe and it's a windy day.

It's a pretty steep portage. Views looking back towards Hudson are good. The burn hit this area really hard, so if it's hot, stay hydrated. There's no shade here.

A somewhat steep start coming from Insula and a good bit of elevation change, but not a difficult portage, and incredibly beautiful views of both lakes and the burn area. A surprisingly enjoyable portage.

Yeah, this is a real treat of a portage. It is wide open looking down into the gorge because of the unobstructed view caused by the fire removing the trees, leaves and shrubs. Huge granite cliffs and boulders line the sides and whitewater and falls go tumbling down the drop. You have a great view of it all as you portage the ridge that traverses it. Enjoy it!

Superb view of Pagami Creek burn, will inspire much photography, stone stairs make you feel as though you're climbing to a wilderness palace, enjoyed every step of this portage, usually don't
