Upstream side deposits you above the rapids but in a shallow rocky section. I walked my canoe for a while, got out and paddled a bit, then had to get out again and haul it over a beaver dam. nothing challenging, but certainly interesting!

This had a rocky landing and some rocky spots near the end. It drops you off right in some solid current of rapids with multiple large rocks to dodge. This wasn’t much fun going upstream and it would be pretty bad in low water too.

Approaching from the south, we missed the start of this portage and went through the first little set of rapids before realizing we'd missed it. Seeing the main rapids ahead, we scrambled and found a makeshift portage landing, probably from other people who'd done the same, and hauled our stuff up to the actual portage trail. The portage itself is not difficult and the north landing was pretty easy and obvious. We weren't even looking for the south landing when we missed it, so I don't know if it's easy to miss.
