Had a hard time finding the portage on the Annie side. Not even sure we found the right one given the comments. Had to go into an area of dead trees due to the water level rise and found something that resembled a trail on the Northeast side. Water was very mucky/boggy getting out. Train was narrow in areas. Landing on Ogish side was great! So I assume we found the right one.

This short portage on paper plays a lot longer! Between a terrible landing on the Annie end and a winding/narrow path, this portage took longer than it should have, and considerably more effort. Thankfully, it isn't long.

The Annie Lake side of this portage is very interesting. The impact beavers can have is pretty incredible. From the Annie side the portage is actually on the East side, as opposed to the North-West side. The portage on the East side is well traveled, so it isn't too difficult to tell which one to take. 1/5.

This portage was tight for us. The landings take a little navigating to get out of. I explored one of the ridges over the portage while we were here. Pretty cool area.

Whoa. This was a fun one coming from Annie. There's an area that looks like a portage landing on Annie. Spoiler alert: It isn't the "real" portage. If you took it, you'll have the chance to experience a partial bushwack. The real portage is behind the birch trees on the opposite side of the little bay. My wife walked it and said it was quite nice. From the Ogish side, it's pretty obvious what landing is the real portage. From the Annie side, it's easy to make a mistake, and judging by the trail, we weren't the only ones.
