longish portage. it was a rainy & mildly stormy day so I was stressed on this one. I remember it was quite buggy and rocky (I slipped and fell once). both landings were easy to locate and navigate. navigating the Phoebe river between this portage and knight lake was interesting, lots of shallow sections and rocks to avoid. there is a huge boulder garden that someone in ages past cleared a path through.
