We watched a father and son run the rapids without gear. They made it but long gouges on both sides of their canoe. We did the portage thing.

Easy peasy, a little bit of a hill, but all good trail. We went swimming on the south end before pushing off again.

Easy up and over portage. Not too rocky. Would run the rapids in a non kevlar boat without my kids.

A decent hill to get over...nothing too serious though.

The water here is not floatable!! Lots of water flowing, LOTS of rocks. To many rapids to get through. The portage is nice. Not very long. Short uphill climb then back down. Not overly rocky. Not over grown. Just a nice path. There is fishing on the north end - down river side. When we got to that side, there were about 12 or 13 canoes fishing with several guys/girls standing out on rocks fishing. It seemed to bother them that we were trying to get out of there with our canoes. We went back a couple of days later to fish. Nothing biting.

Easy flat portage. The water was moving to fast with lots of exposed rocks to risk floating through
