From the lake, at normal water levels a tiny beach serves as the landing which is within eyeshot of campsite #1005. The trail is on the north side of the river and is pretty straight forward. Some rocks & roots to contend with but it is level and easily followed. The biggest concern is the trail being overgrown with weeds & branches making seeing exactly what you'll be stepping on a challenge. Mushy landing on the downstream side. The rapids are not too severe, and we did see some people walking their canoes down.
