Decent landings on either end, the downstream end being near the base of the lengthy rapids which provide a constant bubbling & churning noise from just beyond the edge of the trail. A noticeable uphill negotiation is encountered if traveling eastward (upstream) but, there are no "big" climbs. Some boulders present a persistent problem and there were a few trees down too. (I don't think this one gets cleared that frequently) There is a short trail connecting this portage to the campsite on the upstream side as well.

This portage was surprisingly brushy with some down trees. It took some finagling to get the canoe through at points.

Taken this portage twice. In my opinion this isn't too bad of a portage into Bald Eagle, as it is mostly downhill. only bummer is that there was a couple of fallen trees on the trail.
