The rapids definitely have the potential to be able to be paddled or lined, but if not, the portage is a cakewalk.

These rapids are easily scouted from the water as you approach. Provided there are no strainers or other impediments, I would say they are always navigable. I ran them during full flood and would rate it as a class I rapids. Didn't even see either landing for the portage (maybe high water was covering?) Extremely low water may be an issue if you are particular about scratching your canoe. But, I think you could walk it down without too much trouble. Not having seen the landings or trail, heading upstream in full flood may require something of a bushwhack if needing to use the portage.
