DISCLAIMER: My notes are from a winter crossing. The portage is easy to find from Snowbank, as the landing is at the end of a long string of cabins immediately north. Essentially this is an up & over with a steeper uphill gradient when traveling from Snowbank to Parent. There is, however, a somewhat rolling undulation along the course of the trail as well. The surrounding landscape looks like it was hit pretty hard by a windstorm several years ago too. Since there was ample snow, can't comment on things such as rocks, roots, mud etc.

For the last portage of the trip, at only a quarter mile, this portage is far more annoying than it should be. Climb up out of Parent, climb down into Snowbank. Lots of rocks along the way.

This portage was a little rocky, and our group was ready to be done with the day. It's a weird feeling taking a portage after a long trips and seeing civilization again.

Going from Snowbank to Parent this was a difficult portage. The entry point was small and very rocky. It was also steep up rocky terrain. The remainder of the portage was swampy with a variable amount of elevation change. The mosquitoes were terrible due to the amount of standing water and mud. We did not have the same issues on any other portage our trip.

We thought this was kind of a tough portage for being less than 100 rods. It's full of ankle twisting rocks and small inclines and declines throughout the distance. Nothing too high or steep, but just enough to be a nuisance. The entry into Snowbank from Parent is small, semi-steep and rocky. Not the toughest portage, but certainly not the easiest, either.
