Nice easy walk to get you into the B-dub! Length varies with water level. Ideally you can load/launch at the sandy beach not too far from the parking lot, and walk your canoe downriver until it's deep enough to get in. Be aware that on the way to Mudro, you will likely need to get out once or twice to line the canoe or even partially unload, to get past some shallow rocky spots. If water is especially low, people will walk even further through the grass to launch somewhere along the river, maybe even 50 rods down. Did that in June 2021 but in Aug 2024 we just walked the canoe after the beach for about 20 rods.

Every time I make this portage the water is lower and the trail is longer, otherwise an easy flat portage. When the water is low you may have to make additional portages on the river near the narrows before Mudro Lake.

Easy portage to the EP landing. If the water is low, drag your canoe until you can float in the river channel. The bottom is hard sand.

Easy first/last portage. The river into Mudro is hiding some rocks that would be trouble in lower water.

Super easy graveled path out with wide sandy put in. However, it was way further than we expected on the far side of Mudro down a narrow river and across a marsh. Fisher F-9 map is deceiving regarding where the pick up is located or perhaps we were just super tired and wanted to go home. Just keep paddling and avoid the many hidden rocks in the narrow stream.
