I was unable to paddle through going upstream and took the portage which was short and easy. On the way back downstream, I paddled through. There are some problematic rocks at the base of the beaver dam to negotiate, but they’re moreso annoying than dangerous.

We did end up taking this portage. It wasn't so bad. We stumbled a little bit, but were quickly on our way.

There was no need to use this portage. In fact didn't even see where (exactly) it was.

We saw the beginning and end of this portage but no need to take it as the river was clear, no obstacles at all. There was a small beaver dam down stream that we slid over.
