The steps on the Moon Lake side are rough. The 7th step down is split and loose. Be very careful stepping on it. Especially with a canoe or pack on your shoulders.

I enjoyed this portage. The wooden stairs are a pretty cool piece of engineering. It is uphill from Moon and there is a bog in the middle, but it isn't anything to be concerned about. 3/5

Steep with a wooden stairway. Being it would usually be either the first or last portage of most trips, it didn't seem as grueling as I would've expected. I was pumped up going in, and coming out savored the last moments while still in the wilderness.

For being relatively short... this one took a while.. The downward climb at the end is steep/windy enough to make you uncomfortable.
