Portage itself is short and easy. Landing on the west side during high water is pretty treacherous. There is a "false" landing ~50 yds downstream that was being heavily used on our way in (5/23/2022). We tried to get to the real landing, almost dumped in the rapids, and ended up trudging through the woods from the landing further down stream. On the way back out, we just took the real landing out and floated the ripples without any issue. Not sure if the water wasn't as bad, or it's just that much easier going downsteam. Probably both.

Really pretty area. This portage gave us no problems. We stopped for a little break and enjoyed the views moving water.

Portage is fine - no problem. Just don't try taking the trail from way out on the adjoining point. Until you work your way around and into the tiny inlet and paddle a ways up stream to spot the portage this one can throw you off. For whatever reason there is a bit of a trail out on the point that appears to be the beginning of a portage - it's not! Paddle up the steam. You may need to wet foot it quite a ways as it gets shallow. I've only been here in late fall when water is low. For all I know you can float thru in the spring.
