Easy enough portage for us this day. We took it as a chance to get out of the canoe and stretch on our first paddle day of the Voyageur Challenge. There was quite a bit of float-in debris back in the woods here from the Canadian cabins I presume. Normally we would have packed even the big stuff out with us, but we flinched at bringing a boat cushion all the way to Superior. Maybe I'll come back for it.

Unofficial portage. The landings on either end were semi-difficult. The northern one was muddy. The trail itself is obvious, so it appears to be used regularly. However, since this is an unofficial portage, no regular maintenance is done. Also watch out for the poison ivy.
