I surprised myself by returning to Woodland Caribou in 2019 after doing a 10 day trip in 2018. This time I was with my daughter. This was her first canoe trip but not her first wilderness trip as we've done hiking trips back home in the Alberta Rockies. We decided to start off with part of the solo leg I did in 2018 but continue on from Crystal Lake to Indian House, Prairie, Royd, Donald, Hammerhead, Gammon and back along a familiar route (for me) from a layover in Haven to Telescope, Onnie and back out of Johnson Lake. The trip was very enjoyable other than a burned Royd Creek and the worst black flies I've ever experienced.
