Good backpacking trip around the lake. We did the trail counter clock-wise this time. The campsites on the east side of the lake are the best in my opinion. If you can plan on making a stay at the camp on Whiskey Jack Lake, DO IT! You have the whole lake to yourself and it is a great site. You really need to be a strong packer in order to due this whole trail, it has a lot of elevation changes and can get tough in the heat of the summer. Home Lake for walleye is excellent! Caught dinner and them some. Great trip, back up there on Memorial Day wih a larger party.
